Ecologically-Minded Artist Creates Stunning Dreamscapes. So Surreal.

January 19, 2018

Amy Guidry’s landscapes almost look familiar, with blue skies, clouds and distant mountain ranges. But what’s populating them is entirely different. Her hybrid creatures, disconnected (though still alive-seeming) animal parts and eerily calm human faces let the viewer know that something else is going on here. Using tiny models that are all less than an inch in height, husband and wife team Kurt and Edwige Moses have created these amazing series of photographs which they fittingly titled “Un Petit Monde” or “A Small World” in English. Artist Creates Magical Storybook Worlds–Literally

July 23, 2017

Emma Taylor is a lover of books, not only for the stories they hold inside, but as beautiful objects as well. It might seem strange, then, that showing her appreciation of them involves scissors and glue, but we think that in the end, her love of books shines right through.  Taylor uses books, particularly older ones, as a platform to create paper sculptures of incredible detail. Usually, the sculptures, which are…
