Joining United Airlines’ existing seasonal service to Mammoth Lakes from San Francisco are two new flights from the airline’s Denver and Los Angeles hubs just in time for the Ikon Pass’ inaugural season.

“We are thrilled to grow United’s service to Mammoth with new daily flights from Los Angeles and now seasonal service from Denver and San Francisco,” said Janet Lamkin, United’s President of California in a recent press release. “United service to Mammoth now offers our customers more choice and more opportunities to conveniently connect to the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains in California.”

Starting on December 1, 2018, United will begin daily, year-round service from Los Angeles. Seasonal flights from Denver and San Francisco begin December 19, 2018 through March 30, 2019, making this the first time daily flights to Mammoth Lakes has been offered east of the Rockies.

The addition of these metropolitan hubs comes at the perfect time for Ikon Pass holders, making accessing Mammoth Lakes easier than ever before by opening more than 100 opportunities for customers to fly direct or with a single connection under two hours from Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, Phoenix and international cities Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Toronto.

“The introduction of the Ikon Pass gives skiers and snowboarders all over the country a new reason to ski and ride Mammoth and with our new slate of expanded air service Mammoth is now a direct flight or easy connection away from every major metropolitan market in North America,” said Mark Brownlie, President and COO of Mammoth Resorts in that same press release. “These new flight routes are an important part of Mammoth’s continued evolution as a world-class destination.”

For Ikon Pass holders, ski days at Mammoth Mountain are unlimited and now with hundreds of opportunities to get to the Sierra Nevada mountains quicker and easier than ever, we expect the resort will be a first-choice destination for skiers from every corner of the country.
